Infrared Sauna Cleaning
Be careful about what FIR sauna you buy. Always do your research
first and investigate the dealer and manufacturer of the far infrared
sauna you’re interested in. Most of the well known companies should
include oxygenators that release ions to purify the air. FIR saunas
require maintenance and cleaning to keep them sanitary and working in
top shape. But this is a common misconception about far infrared saunas
being un-hygenic.
The benefits FIR therapy provides dwarfs conventional steam saunas.
Steam is great and relaxing, but far infrared radiation has the ability
to penetrate deeply into your body’s tissues and promote sweating
compared to heating the air around your body with steam.
Basically you want to follow these steps to keep your FIR sauna sanitary and hygenic. Sweep or vacuum your sauna periodically to remove dirt, hair, etc. Wipe down the walls where people have touched them, i.e. above benches, around doors, and controls as needed. Use a bucket of warm water with a mild detergent soap and a clean cloth or sponge, then rinse well with a fresh damp cloth and plain water. If use this common sense approach to maintaining your FIR sauna, it will be a lot more hygenic and sanitary compared to steam saunas in the bathroom.
